We are ideally based between the Dordogne and Lot rivers and surrounded by beautiful landscapes, forests and of course vineyards.
With 3 Gîtes – all finished to a very high standard including fully equipped kitchens, our properties are each available for individual rental or can be rented as a complete unit sleeping up to 14 (10 Adults and 4 Children)
So whether it’s walking, horse-riding, cycling, canoeing, vineyard tours, simply relaxing or swimming in our pool, at Le Rêve Du Lot your ideal French Cottage Holiday awaits you.
Our village of Frayssinet-Le-Gélat is only one minute’s walk from our gîtes where you will find a great “local” bar, small restaurant, village store and one of the best boulangeries in the area. The village also benefits from a mediaeval church with working bell-tower that chimes the hour and half hour. We are conveniently situated on the main road from the village adjacent to a small working garage, giving easy access to all the amenities.
The village also has a “Plan D’Eau” offering fishing and boating/pedalo activities through the summer plus an open air restaurant serving steak/mussels and frites most evenings.
Within easy reach of Frayssinet-Le-Gélat there are numerous villages and towns where you can find centuries old bastides (fortified towns) chateaux, houses and churches.
Most local villages and towns have wonderful markets throughout the week where you can browse and purchase fabulous local produce including fruit and vegetables, honey, cheese, and of course, the lovely local wines.
